I usually laundry my clothes once a month and have always used a dry cleaning shop near my house. I know these guys pretty well and appreciate their service. However, I got an offer through my door the other day from another shop that gave me 20% savings with a free delivery and pick up option. Now being the ever logical guy, this made a lot sense so I subscribed and got my first batch out. It came back within 24hours and I was pleased with the quicker turn around. For the next few days, I noticed my shirts weren’t as clean and pressed as before but I thought it was still OK and manageable for the savings. However, I also noticed my collar strips were missing and anyone who knows about well pressed business shirts, a strong collar is a must! I realized maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all. After venting to these guys as a true unhappy customer, I returned to the familiar. Looking back on this experience, the simple truth of quality over quantity resonates with me. I’m glad everything worked out because I also get a box of free collar pins from my shirt store, so nothing was really lost.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
