I’ve been with my girlfriend for about four years now. It’s been a great time I have to admit. We’ve shared different life events, memorable moments and experiences together. Some have been full of pure joy and ecstasy while others have been full of pain and tears. Looking back, I realise we are not necessarily the same people we were in the beginning. We’ve kind of grown up over time; so for one we communicate better therefore we argue less as we can be vulnerable with ourselves so we understand and accept each other better. Yet, at the same time, I do find that the more things change, the more they stay the same. So we still clown and have fun pretty much the same way we’ve always done; we just try to make it richer and better every time. We are both living from our hearts, we challenge each other and we celebrate our differences. I think of this process as a dance where our souls are interlocked and moving to the rhythm of the songs life plays for us; like this, I smile and gently whisper in her ear, let the music play on.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
