I’ve been driving for about two years now and I have to say it’s been a great experience. I have a deep need for speed so as you can imagine, I love switching lanes to get ahead on the journey. The simple interaction with other cars or drivers is most exciting. I notice some drivers can be open and polite while others can be brash and rude when it comes to for example, overtaking, emerging into a road or volunteering parking space. Sometimes, I can be either or and I guess it depends on my mood at the time, amongst other things. So I fully understand when other drivers can be in the same predicament; of course some are more on one side than others. However, I think it is generally interesting and can reveal a lot about people from a distance and life in general because after all, a bit of our true selves can be seen in the things we do. I believe this unpredictability and randomness is a key part of life, it will always be present and this makes it both annoying and enjoyable, depending how you choose to see it. I hope drivers continue to be more conscious of this truth to enjoy the journey and keep the roads safe for all.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
