I recently came back from a tour of South East Asia. My route was London to Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to Manila for 10 days to see family and friends. Had a great night out with an old buddy and his friends, hung out with my only sister and her husband and then with my older brother and his family. Finally met my only nephew who is 2years old; he is absolutely cute and adorable! I noticed a lot of changes compared with the last time I had made such a trip. On one hand was the structural developments in the cities; it seemed like there were projects everywhere and the social atmosphere was energised with hope for better. On a deeper level, my family was changing. They both seemed grown and different from when we were younger and lived together. I realise this came from their relationships and the resultant influences or effects these had brought. This is pretty much how life works; as we live, our paths tend to connect with others and create new roads and experiences. The good, bad and ugly are part of the journey and we are unconsciously lead to growth and maturity. This is always a good thing.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
