I recently turned 33. On one level, it was a normal day as I went to work and didn’t take time off to exclusively celebrate. On another level, it was a special day due to the love I received from friends and family from all over the world. There were a lot of phone calls, FaceTime chats and messages exchanged. I later went out for dinner with my girlfriend and we had a great time into the late night. I think how this is different from many years ago in terms of the spirit and energy. For one, there were less hits on Facebook and for two, there were more in depth conversations shared. I guess this is how life generally works in terms of quality over quantity or how one’s circle tends to get smaller with time. We live and meet numerous people on our journey; the strength of the relationship is made evident through time and situations. These are the ones with no pretence or masks but vulnerability and openness; they are healthy for the soul and make life exciting and worth living. I feel blessed to have these connections in my life and I hope that we can continue to be there for each other because life is good, no matter what.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
