Last Friday, looking in the mirror at the barber shop, it dawned on me that I had sat in the same seat for the past 4 years. A good hair treatment is truly amazing; now whether you’re a guy or girl, I’m sure you can relate to this feeling! There’s also something about the person who does it well because you only want him to treat your hair; a trust is established that lasts over time. I remember the relationship I had with my barber while I was schooling in the Philippines; he always provided me with a good service that left me content and happy. I left tips and even got him a gift from my visit to Indonesia! Years later, it was warming to know that he also treated my dad and younger brother while they spent some time in the country. I think about the connected nature of the world, how our paths tend to cross over time and I’m reminded there’s something more to the world than our minds can comprehend. That relationships are a key part of living and life tends to go full circle in due time. It’s thus important to live from within and try to give out positive energy because sooner or later, it all comes back to you.
