I like to participate in different loyalty programs with my regular shopping. From Sainsbury to Boots to Costa; I keep my cards and collect points religiously. It’s always great to treat a friend to a free coffee or get some free groceries from this practice. The other Friday, I went to get something from Sainsbury in Camden. My bill was about 5.00/GBP to which I gladly paid and swiped my Nectar card for the points. Just as I was about to leave the till, a lady behind me asked if I had a nectar card to which I responded yes, not really sure why the question. She then asked if I wanted her points! I was surprised by those words because this was a first for me. To make it even better, I came over to her till and she had done a big shopping; the bill was most likely triple digits. I thanked her for the kind gesture, swiped my card for my points and chatted for a bit. I left Sainsbury smiling because this was a totally unexpected event and it reminded me of the randomness of life. Life is indeed more than what we see and touch each day.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
