Early autumn this year, I was fortunate to have had my first outdoor movie experience in London. It was at an open air theatre near London Bridge and the ambience was great. The Croods, by DreamWorks produced in 2013 was the movie on display and the audience was diverse with both kids and adults, which just goes to show how universal animations are. I found the script well written with brilliant dialogue and subplots that creatively touched on different themes like love, family and change. One message I left with was acceptance. A lot of times, we avoid or shut down things that are different from what we know, without even giving it a shot. I believe this is due to our preconceived ideas of the subject which doesn’t really do it justice and leaves us missing out on what we might have originally desired. Like this we are stuck in a box and restricted from living the best life we could. For those who haven’t seen it yet, I don’t want to give it all away but it’s a really good movie so check it out when you have a chance. You might see yourself in it and reflect on life from a different perspective.
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or stories about your own journey…
